Principles
All meetings are focused on generating ethical business for all participants and developing an increasingly conscious and ethical approach to business - there are no secondary agendas
The aim of the Ethical Business Club is to help to grow each other's business ethically and consciously by networking with each other and promoting each other's business to our own contacts
The emphasis is on local business for local businesses thereby minimising an adverse impact on the environment and encouraging a strong sense of community to promote community respect and harmony
The Ethical Business Club has adopted the Earth Charter and follows ethical, conscious practices including permaculture principles, carbon cutting approach, transition Town principles, use of non-oil based products, environmentally friendly practices, maximising recycling opportunities, fair values, sustainable profit for all, minimal and renewable energy policies
It is a member of Ethical Junction and encourages all members to develop their own links with Ethical Junction www.ethical-junction.org
Only one type of business will be represented at any one time, e.g. an accountant, holistic therapist, reflexologist, yoga teacher - this is to ensure that there is no conflict between members
Each meeting starts at 7.15am sharp with 15 to 20 minutes of open networking and continental breakfast is served
Meetings are scheduled to conclude by 8:30am
Each membership is for the business so if the principal cannot attend then a substitute may attend on their behalf
Members are encouraged to attend or be represented at every meeting - no more than 2 consecutive meetings may be missed. If more than 2 consecutive meetings are missed then that business type will be open for another business at the discretion of the members
Membership is £10.00 per month and payable by standing order. OR an Associate membership at £15.00 per annum and £5 per meeting. Membership fee may be paid by some other energy exchange, e.g. provison of printing services.
The Vaults is an organic restaurant where breakfast and snacks, teas and coffees amy be purchased. Membership includes weekly meetings, free entry onThe Ethical Business Club website, link to Ethical Junction www.ethical-junction.org free Ethical Business Club business card holder, free participation in all advertising and promotional activity undertaken by The Ethical Business Club.
Membership is for a minimum of 12 months - there is no joining fee.
All surplus funds are spent at the direction of its members to promote The Ethical Business Club and its member's business and in furtherance of its ethical and conscious principles. As funds allow local ethical projects will be sponsored.
